CLASS F5B AND F5D FOR SENIORS

SIBIU – CISNADIE , ROMANIA

THE INFORMATION BULLETIN No 1

ORGANIZERS: The Romanian Modelling Federation in co-operation with the City Hall of Sibiu and Cisnadie.

DATE: 7-13 September 2009

VENUE: The European Championship will take place in Sibiu - Cisnadie, a town situated in Transilvania, 274 km far from Bucharest, 318 km far from Oradea and 273 km far from Arad (Western border).

Sibiu was also the venue for:

ECh F1ABC seniors, 1992

WCh F1ABP, juniors, 1998

ECh F1ABP, juniors, 2001

The flying field is a small private field belonging to the “Aeroclub Aripile Magurei” Cisnadie, grass covered, 3 km far from Sibiu, near the village of Cisnadie.

GPS: 45⁰44’10” N ; 24⁰10’00” E

The flying field has two flying areas, which can be used for F5B and F5D at the same time.

On the flying field, all participants will benefit of electricity, tents and sun shades for teams, model checking, lunch, buffet.

Also there will be ecological toilets for participants.

The Romanian Modelling Federation has aquired all the experience for such an event, being the organizer of the last WChF5, 2006, Pitesti.

PARTICIPANTS: Each National Aeroclub/National Federation may enter a team of 3 seniors competitor in each class,team manager,team manager’s assistant,helpers,supporters and press representative.

FAI LICENCES: Each competitor and TM must possess a valid FAI license for 2009.

OFFICIAL LANGUAGE: English and Romanian.

RULES: The F.A.I.Sporting Code,General Section and Sporting Code Section 4a,4b,4c and special F5 ammendaments.

AWARDS: The Organizer will offer FAI medals, diplomas and cups to first three individual and team classification in each class,including team managers.

ENTRY FEES: 280 EURO/senior competitor,TM and TM assistant,

56 EURO/helper,supporter

5O EURO/competitor in “Aripile Magurei” World Cup (optional).

BANQUET: 40 EURO/person.

- 18.00 Opening Ceremony of the European Championships

Tuesday, 8^th September

- 09.00-19.00: Model processing and official training

Wednesday, 9^th September

- 09.00-18.00:1^st+2^nd round F5B and 1^st to 4^th round F5D

Thursday, 10^th September

- 09.00-18.00:3^rd+4^th round F5B and 5^th to 8^th round F5D

Friday, 11^th September

- 09.00-18.00 :5^th+6^th round F5B and 9^th to 12^th round F5D

Saturday, 12^th September

- 09.00-12.00 :Reserve day / sightseeing trip

- 16.00-17.00 :Prize awarding and official closing ceremony

Sunday, 13^th September

- 09.00-12.00:Departure of participants

WEATHER: - average maximum temperature: 20⁰C,

- average minimum temperature: 12⁰C,

- daily average windspeed: 3m/s

- rainfall: 120mm/month.

RADIO FREQUENCIES: In Romania frequencies of 35,40, 41MHz and 2,4 GHz are allowed.

The 27 and 72 MHz are not recomanded as they could be jammed by the the civil utilizers and local radio studios as well.

BOARD AND LODGING: The Organizer will offer all the participants for accomodation and board 2 Hotels in Sibiu in 2 and 3 Star category, with single and double bed rooms and own restaurant, were breakfast and dinner will be served.

Lunch will be served on the contest site.

Board and lodging: 40-65 EUR/pers/day

For 8 days: 320EUR-520EUR

Also, there is a large number of private pensions around, both in Cisnadie and Sibiu.

PRELIMINARY ENTRIES: we are kindly asking all the NAC/Federation to send their

Preliminary confirmation on the attached form until the 1^st February.

Information Buletin No 2 will be sent to all those interested in on april 16.

ENTRY FEES should be payed only in EURO by bank transfer in the below mentioned bank account,no later than June 16.

Later payments will be subject to a fine,as follows:

17 June-17 August, 10% fine,

18 August-18 September, including payment upon registration in cash, 20% fine,

The fees for board,lodging and banquet will not be subject to a fine.This fees may be payed together with basic entry fees (or separately) in the same bank account without penalty,no lather than 15 August. After this date,we can not guarantee any room reservation.
