             FAI WORLD CHAMPIONSHIPS FOR FREE FLIGHT MODEL AIRCRAFT CLASS F1A,F1B,F1P, FOR  JUNIORS,

                                        1-6 AUGUST 2010, SALONTA, ROMANIA

    Bulletin 1

     

    ORGANIZERS: Romanian Modelling Federation in co-operation with , Citty Hall of Salonta, Sporting Club Metalul Salonta,  Sport Office Oradea.

     

    VENUE: City of Salonta, situated in Transilvania on the N-E Romanian Plains along the Timisoara-Arad-Oradea main road, close to Romanian-Hungarian border.

    Salonta is 40 km far from Oradea and 65 km far from Bors custom point.

    Salonta can be reached from any direction by car, train or by plane from the airports of Oradea, Timisoara, Arad, Sibiu,Budapest and Bucharest.

    Salonta-Oradea: 40 km

    Salonta-Arad: 81 km

    Salonta-Timisoara: 128 km

    Salonta-Sibiu: 358 km

    Salonta-Bucharest: 651 km

    The contest site is 4 km far from Salonta. The overall area is 16 sq. km (4 km x 4 km) and is grass covered, without any obstacles.

    This venue has hosted many national contests as well as the European Aeromodelling Free Flight Championships for Juniors in 2009 and International World Cup-Salonta.

    The contest site will benefit of special erected tents, electricity, radio amplifier, restaurant, domestic water, toilets, etc.

     

    DATE: 1-6 AUGUST, 2010.

    SALONTA CUP-WORLD CUP will take place on 7-8 August 2010.

    BOARD AND LODGING: there are few choices of accomodation close to the contest site:

    -Salonta Hotel (**) in Salonta;

    -Motel Madaras (**), 2 km from contest site;

     -Hotel Milenium (***) 4 km far from contest site;

    -Touristic resort Tinca, 2 hotels (**), 25 km from contest site;

    -Motel Cimechiu, hotel (**), 21 km far from contest site;

    -Oradea-various choice of hotels from two to  five star class, 40 km far from contest site;                                 

    All the above mentioned hotels have their own restaurants where breakfast and dinner can be served, while lunch, mineral water and refreshments will be served in a special erected tent on contest site, with tables and chairs .Accomodation and board  will no more than 45-55.euro/day/pers,for 6 days 270-330.euro/pers.

     

    WEATHER: during August, the weather in Oradea area is excellent for free flight; average daily temperature is 250C, moderate wind of 2-6m/s and no more than a shower weekly.

    ENTRY FEES:

    - 270 EUR/junior competitor/class, TM, TM’s Assistant;

    - 60 EUR/junior for additional class

    - 50 EUR/supporter, helper;

    - 30 EUR/junior, banquet;

    - 35 EUR/adult,banquet.

    PRELIMINARY SCHEDULE

    -          1st August,   Sunday: arrival, registration, accomodation;

    -          2nd August,  Monday: model registration, official training, opening ceremony;

    -          3rd August,  Tuesday,      F1A contest;

    -          4th August,  Wednesday, F1B contest;

    -          5th August,   Thursday,    F1P contest;

    -          6th August,   Friday,         reserve day/trip to thermal springs Madaras,

                                                         prize awarding ceremony, closing ceremony and banquet;

          -    7st  August, Saturday: departure / World Cup Salonta F1A seniors and juniors, optional

          -    8nd  August, Sunday: World Cup Salonta F1B, F1C,F1P seniors and juniors, optional.

    OFFICIAL LANGUAGE: English and Romanian;

    CONTEST RULES: FAI Sporting Code valid for 2010 with all the approved amendments ;

    NATIONAL TEAMS: any  National Team of 3 competitors in each class, having valid FAI Licenses for 2010,2008 World champions,Team Manager/Asistants, Helpers, Supporters,one time keeper and  Press Representatives;

    ANTI-DOPING
     If a competitor has to take any of the substances listed on the WADA
    Prohibited list for a medical condition, then he must have a Therapeutic
    Use Exemption from the FAI.
