THE FAI EUROPEAN CHAMPIONSHIPS FOR RC HELICOPTERS
CLASS F3C, SENIORS
15-24 JULY 2010, SIBIU, CISNADIE, ROMANIA
BULLETIN No.1
ORGANIZERS: The Romanian Modelling Federation, in cooperation with the City Hall of Cisnadie (Heltau), City Hall of Sibiu (Hermannstadt), the local council,, the “Aripile Magurei” Aero Club Cisnadie, the Romanian Aero Club, other local civil authorities.
INVITATION: Every FAI affiliated National Aero Club / Federation (National Air sport Control Organization) is hereby invited to enter a team of 3 competitors, TM, supporters, helpers, to participate in the 2010 F3C Helicopter European Championship, to be held in July, 15th-25th, at the “Aripile Magurei” private airfield, Sibiu, Cisnadie, Romania. The 2008 F3C individual European Champion is also invited.
ENTRY FEES:
400 EUR: competitor, TM;
80 EUR: helper, supporter
PROTEST FEE: 35 EUR

Thursday, 15th: arrival;
Friday, 16th: registration and model processing;
Saturday, 17th: official practice;
Sunday, 18th: Preliminary Round 1;
Monday, 19th: Preliminary Round 2;
Tuesday, 20th: Preliminary Round 3;
Wednesday, 21st: Preliminary Round 4;
Thursday, 22nd: reserve day;
Friday, 23rd: Fly Offs 1 & 2;
Saturday, 24th: Fly Off 3; awards; banquet;
Sunday, 25th: departure
COMPETITION RULES: According to the FAI Sporting Code, Section 4, as well as all applicable amendments, 2010 edition.
VENUE: The European Championships on a private airfield, 4,5km far from Sibiu (Hermannstadt), a town situated in Transilvania, 274 km far from Bucharest, 318 km far from Oradea and 273 km far from Arad (Western border).

The flying field is a small private field belonging to the “Aeroclub Aripile Magurei” Cisnadie, grass covered, near the village of Cisnadie and Cisnadioara.
In 2009, the E.Ch F5B was succesfully organized on this flying site.

The flying field has a large flying area, which can be used for F3C contests, offering a multitude of options for establishing the flying course.
On the flying field, all participants will benefit of 220v electricity, tents and sun shades for teams, model checking, lunch, buffet.
Also there will be ecological toilets for participants.
OFFICIAL LANGUAGE: English and Romanian.
FAI SPORTING LICENSE: Each competitor must possess a valid 2010 Sporting License.
RADIO FREQUENCY INFORMATION: The legal frequencies in Romania are 27MHz, 35MHz, 40MHz and 2,4 GHz.
FUEL: The available fuel will be Morgan Fuel Cool Power, supplied by BBT, Germany. Every competitor will receive 1 gallon of fuel free of charge. More required fuel will be available at cost. The cost will be announced in the Bulletin 2. A centralized order for all competitors will be sent by the Organizer to BBT in time. All the money for fuel will be collected by the Organizer and sent to the fuel supplier. The ordering form for fuel will be available with Bulletin 2. BBT will not accept individual fuel orders from competitors for use at the European Championship.
ANTI-DOPING
If a competitor has to take any of the substances listed on the WADA
Prohibited list for a medical condition, then he must have a Therapeutic
Use Exemption from the FAI.

BOARD AND LODGING: There are a big number of good quality private pensions and 2 and 3 star hotels both in Cisnadie and Cisnadioara and in Sibiu, 4,5 km far from the flying field.
For pensions and 2 star hotels, in single and double rooms with bathroom, cable TV, the prices will be from 45 EUR to 65 EUR/day/pers, accomodation and board.
For 10 days board and lodging wiil be from 450 to 650 EUR/pers.
BANQUET: 40 EUR/ pers.
